Is WeScanDrop free?
Yes. Transfers up to 3 GB are free with no sign-up, no ads and no watermark. An optional Pro plan raises the limits, but the free tier is fully usable on its own.
Is it safe and private?
Yes. Transfers are encrypted in transit and at rest, the share link is a long unguessable code, and your files are never scanned, sold, or used to train AI. Everything is hard-deleted after 24 hours, or instantly with Delete Now.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. WeScanDrop runs in the browser on both devices. Open the site on one, scan the QR with the other, and you're transferring — no download and no account.
How is WeScanDrop different from AirDrop?
AirDrop only works between Apple devices, usually on the same network. WeScanDrop works across every device — iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux — and across different networks, because it pairs by QR in the browser.
